Protect Your Womb!
In honor of Randall Terry and Jeb Bush, we present selections from PROTECT YOUR WOMB, an article by Nancy Campbell, the "editress" of Above Rubies, "a magazine to encourage women in their high calling as wives, mothers, and homemakers."
Let's see what God says about our womb in His wonderful Word, which is called the "Wisdom of God." (Luke 11:49) We can find God's wisdom relating to every matter in His Word, even in such feminine matters as the womb and breasts.1. IT IS OUR DISTINGUISHING IDENTITY.
Yup, ladies, your womb forms the basis of your basic identity.
Webster's 1928 dictionary explains that the word 'woman' is a combination of the words, 'womb' and 'man.' Woman therefore means 'womb man' or 'man with a womb.'
Um, right. But the most recent Merriam-Webster dictionary gives the etymology of "woman" as "Middle English, from Old English wIfman, from wIf woman, wife + man human being, man." "Woman" therefore means "female human" (or "wife man"). I guess the difference in these dictionary definitions demonstrates how society has deteriorated since 1928. I blame the Old English!
Satan hates the womb. He knew that through the womb of a woman would come the Messiah, the Saviour of the world, who would destroy his head. He knows it is through the womb of the woman that the 'godly seed' still comes to destroy his works. Satan comes to "steal, kill and destroy." His attack is upon the womb through a number of areas:1. Abortion where human beings, created in the image of God in the secret place of the womb, are cruelly torn apart limb by limb or slowly burned alive.
2. The Pill and IUD. Did you know that both the Pill and the IUD are abortifacients? Did you know that more babies are killed in the womb through the IUD and the Pill than even the holocaust of abortion? Your doctor doesn't tell you this. Your pastor or minister doesn't tell you this. Thus, many God-fearing people are ignorantly aborting their own babies. The womb, which is a sanctuary to nurture and protect life, has become an extermination camp. Satan is having a heyday!
Satan, stay the hell away from my womb!
But I didn't know about the billions of babies being killed by birth control, or about the womb being an extermination camp, so I looked it up on Google and found several explanations. Pro-Life America says that usually the pill suppresses ovulation, and also thickens the woman's cervical mucus, which helps prevent sperm reaching the egg if ovulation does occur.
But occasionally there is "BREAKTHROUGH OVULATION," and if you do happen to ovulate and sperm does get through the thick cervical mucus and meets with an egg, then you are pregnant ("At that moment -- you would be pregnant! Fertilization means conception has taken place and you now have a brand new son or daughter who is as complete genetically as he or she will ever be throughout life"). Yes, you now have a child -- you know, like how having the finished blueprint of a building means that you have a building, since the plan for the building is as complete as it will ever be.
Anyway, that fertilized egg, your brand new son or daughter, can be killed by the pill in the following ways.
One way the Pill causes early abortions is that it interfers with the flexing motions and the cilia movement of the fallopian tubes. These changes slow the transportation of newly conceived child from the fallopian tubes to the womb. Unfortunately, many small babies starve to death in the fallopian tubes because chemicals caused changes that prevented them from reaching the womb in time to be nourished.
Think of all those poor little babies, starving to death in the fallopian tubes! Somebody (maybe Randall Terry) should mount rescue operations and try to save them, before it's too late!
Another way the Pill causes early abortions: If your tiny baby survives the ride down the fallopian tube to your womb, the Pill will almost always cause the endometrium (the lining of your uterus) to reject your child. Chemical reactions often cause the lining of your womb to become thin, shriveled and unable to support implantation of your newly conceived child.
So, your zygote son or daughter (let's refer to him or her as "Suzy" or "Billy") never implants in your womb, and then "your tiny baby will starve to death and his or her remains will be passed along in your next bleeding cycle." Tragic and grusome, isn't it? Of course, Suzy's or Billy's remains consist of just a few cells, and are smaller than the size of a pinhead, but still, don't you feel awful about that poor little baby staving and then being passed from your body? And you are the one who killed little Suzy or Billy by taking the pill or using an IUD. I hope you are proud of yourself, you murderess!
But back to Ms. Campbell, and the other ways that Satan is attacking your womb.
3. Permanent contraception such as Tubal ligations where the barren womb is denied the life it was created to nurture.
One would think that a barren womb wouldn't need a tubal ligation, but that's not the point. No, the point is that by getting this operation we are in effect saying, "God, I don't want to give birth to the 20 or so children that I could bear during the course of my reproductive years," which is apparently a slap in His face, and also a way of dissing the womb.
When we decide on permanent contraception such as tubal ligation we are in actuality saying, "God, I don't appreciate the way you made me. You did the wrong thing when you gave me a womb. It doesn't suit my present lifestyle so I will make sure it can't be used." Now, I know that most women don't say those words as they go for a tubal ligation. Most women do it in ignorance, as they have been advised that this is the most convenient way to go. But if we take time to think about it and are really honest, this is the bottom line of what we are doing. The womb never says, "It is enough". Proverbs 30:15,16. God has created the womb to yearn for life.
And that's why you should have 30 kids -- so as to not disappoint the womb that God created.
6. Curses. The sins of the parents from past generations can bring a curse upon the womb. It can also come upon us through our own sin or negative confession. We should be careful not to speak negatively about any of our reproductive organs. Guard how you speak about menstruation. When you call it 'the curse' or other negative names, you give an opportunity for the curse of barrenness or other disorders to come to your womb.
Yup, saying unflattering things about menstruation, and/or having sinful ancestors can cause you to be barren, and to also experience "painful or irregular menstruation, cramps, cysts, and tumors." Hard to believe, but apparently true, per the Bible or something.
Nancy adds that there are "often other factors involved," but, yeah, if you are having trouble getting pregnant (or just have painful periods) it could be a curse. And if you are cursed, you should say this prayer in an effort to get the curse lifted:
"Dear Father, [...] In the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, I renounce all negative words, even jokingly, that I have spoken about my womb, about menstruation, about pregnancy and about my womanly functions. I renounce any curse that has been placed upon my womb or reproductive organs from my parents, grandparents or great grandparents on both sides of my family. I ask that You will now cleanse my womb and cover it with your blessing. I receive your blessing in the name of Jesus. Amen."
Sure, some of the pagan religions have better fertility rituals, but you should probably stick with this one if you don't want to go to hell.
Nancy has a lot more info about wombs, including the novel claim that the womb is the "controlling seat of our emotions," but let's skip ahead to the twelth thing the Lord said about wombs.
12. IT IS A SPHERE OF INFLUENCE.
[...] Recent studies clearly show that an unborn baby is affected deeply by the attitudes of the mother. If the mother rejects the child in her womb, her child will suffer from this rejection at some stage in his/her life. If the mother is full of fear, that fear will enter her unborn child. If the father who gave the seed of life or the mother is willful, that iniquity will touch the unborn baby.
What studies show this? Recent ones! And they show this clearly! That's all you need to know, except for some personal anecdotes on the subject..
The following are a few examples of how the mother’s attitude to her baby in the womb had a detrimental affect upon the baby. I know these women personally. A mother had a horrific birth experience at her second birth. It put such fear into her that when she was pregnant with her third child she was paranoid about giving birth again and was full of fears. Somehow these fears entered into this child, for this baby who is now grown, is still struggling with fears today and they have plagued her all her life.
I had thought that this idea was just an old wives' tale, but now I'm convinced! And here's another story (this one involving a fallen woman that Nancy knows personally) that proves this claim beyond any doubt:
A backslidden girl fell pregnant. She wanted this child to grow up with a mother and a father and so decided that she would give this baby to a loving family. She was naturally a very loving person, but in order to not get too attached to her baby as she planned to give it away, she thought of it ‘as nothing’ or as a ‘bit of stone.’ However, at the very end of her pregnancy she met the father of the child again and at the last minute they decided to get married. And so of course, they kept the baby! The baby was born and received with love and joy and was totally mothered. However, as this baby grew into her second year, she became abnormally affected and screamed with terror if her mother even went out of the room. As their pastors (the husband had come to the Lord and the wife had been restored to the Lord), we prayed about it, and wondered if she was suffering from rejection of not being accepted during her time in the womb. We prayed over this little child and asked God to heal her from this rejection and from that moment she never had the problem again.
A normal developmental stage, a reaction by the child to something in her environment, or a case of womb rejection syndrome? YOU be the judge!
Okay, one last truth about the womb:
17. IT IS A HOSPITALITY ROOMAs we discussed the importance of our womb at our Mothers Bible Study, one of the mothers received another understanding of the womb. I will let her share in her own words: “The womb is actually a room. We are walking around with a special guest room in our body, which is a temple. Just as the temple of King David’s time had a Holy of Holies, so our womb is a sanctified place for God to bring forth life. I was challenged to realize that just as I prepare a guest room and have it ready for when guests come to stay, so I should prepare my womb and dedicate it for whomever God sends my way."
How cool is it that you (if you are female) have a hospitality room right there in your body, ready to receive out of town visitors and drunken conventioneers! It's like being a walking Holiday Inn! But if you use birth control pills, you could be unknowingly murdering your guests (and then their little starved bodies will stick around until your next period). In that case, you probably won't get a 4-star rating from AAA, and will have to lower your rates, and even then, you'll probably attract a less exclusive type of clientele. So, it makes really makes you think, doesn't it?
So, protect your wombs, ladies! And if you aren't up to the task, I'm sure Randall Terry et. al. will be more than happy to do the job for you.
P. S. In glancing at Above Rubies' Who Are We? page and noting the names of Nancy's grandchildren, I found some possible monikers for the newest Gurdonette. See what you think of these:
Chanel Sarah
Noble Hardin
Zadok Elijah
Sharar Zuriel
Arrow Masadaand my favorite, Chalice Hosanna
Of course, Meghan could mix and match these names to come up something unique and special for her child -- here are a few ideas:
Chanel Chalice Gurdon, Noble Arrow Gurdon, Zarathustra Zardok Gurdon, and Hosanna Jubilation Gurdon.
In any case, I hope she finds Nancy's site as helpful and inspirational as I did.
