Newsmax Reports That Hillary Clinton is the Real Killer

Also Claims That Carl Cameron is a Big Idiot

From an email I got from Newsmax:
Breaking News from NewsMax.com
'Scooter' Libby to Avoid Perjury Charge
Lewis "Scooter" Libby will likely avoid perjury charges in the Leakgate case, and will instead be charged with making a false statement to investigators - a crime that mirrors Independent Counsel Robert Ray's findings against Hillary Clinton five years ago.
But did Scooter avoid perjury charges?  Sadly, nope (to almost quote a popular catch phrase).  As noted below, he was charged with two charges of perjury, along with obstruction of justice, and two counts of making false statements to investigators.
Libby's indictment "will be 'false statement' charges as part of an effort to mislead the grand jury," reporter Carl Cameron told Fox News radio host Tony Snow Friday morning.
[...]
In his October 2000 final report on the Travelgate scandal, Independent Counsel Ray said of Mrs. Clinton:
"The overwhelming evidence establishes that she played a role in the decision to fire the [travel office] employees and provided input into that decision. Thus, her statement to the contrary under oath was factually false."
Despite Mr. Ray's conclusion, however, that Mrs. Clinton had committed a serious federal felony, he declined to prosecute.
Yes, after taking six years and over $50 million to investigate the charges, Ray said that "insufficient proof exists to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that Clinton ... knowingly gave false material testimony."

So, Hillary was just as bad as Scooter, except that Ray couldn't find any credible evidence that Hillary mislead investigators, but Fitzgerald did find sufficient evidence to indict Scooter for lying to investigators, as well as perjury and obstruction of justice.  So, clearly, the Clinton White House was WAY worse than the Bush White House.

Scooter Faces Up to 30 Years in Jail;  Iraqi War Named as Unindicted Co-Conspirator

This is what it took to bring me back from the dead (btw, thanks, everyone, for the kind thoughts).
WASHINGTON -- Senior White House official I. Lewis Libby was indicted today on obstruction of justice, false statement and perjury charges for allegedly lying about how and when in 2003 he learned and subsequently disclosed to reporters then-classified information concerning the employment of Valerie Wilson by the Central Intelligence Agency. Libby was charged with one count of obstruction of justice, two counts of perjury and two counts of making false statements.
The prosecutor claims that Scooter lied about the circumstances of his conversations with Tim Russert, Matt Cooper, and Judith Miller. Interesting, that.

So, Cheney has sadly accepted Scooter's resignation, so that Scooter can dedicate his time to finding the one-armed man who actually lied to Fitzgerald (and/or take his suicide pill in private).

Oh, and the investigation isn't over, and so Karl may or may not have escaped the bullet (I guess it will depend on how well the Devil does protect his own).

Scooter (via his attorney) has saud that he's confident that he will exonerated -- but as you know, that's what every serial killer found with a basement full of bodies says before the trial starts.

Anyway, I think it's interesting that Fox News experts are wondering why Scooter would lie about "something that wasn't even illegal." They say that it must have been to protect something really serious -- like a conspiracy to keep secret the White House manipulation of intelligence during the lead-up to the Iraq War. (If you as a White House have Fox News wondering about things like that, then it might be time to start passing out suicide pills to everyone.)
